Our dedicated efforts over the last five decades has seen innumerable students of all age groups and different walks of life benefitting from the systematic and novel training offered in the various branches of the performing arts.
Furthermore, several of our students have chosen to pursue music as a profession --- as performing artistes, teachers, research scholars, composers, playback singers and so on.
We feel proud to say that one can distinctly see the positive influence of SMB training in developing the artistic sensibilities of our students who have passed out from here and are holding distinguished positions in other walks of life all across the globe.
Today, we are committed to fulfilling our Founder’s vision of serving society through music. We strive to uphold the values of preserving our cultural heritage and passing it on to the future generations, giving them an opportunity to connect with their roots and develop their own unique identity in the world.
In keeping with its aims and objects, SMB propagates awareness in classical music by organizing annual music festivals, periodical recitals and lecture-demonstrations by renowned artistes, musicologists and experts from other related fields, as also music-appreciation sessions, which are open for the art-loving citizens of the Mumbai metropolis.
Additionally, the collection, the on-going documentation and preservation of invaluable information, hand-in-hand with actual research have been noteworthy projects of Sangit Mahabharati.
